Your ‘day to day’:
As Manager EHS&S you will be lead our EHS&S/Sustainability team at Triaga Inc., the position will be based in Wilson, NC.
Lead and manage the EHS&S/Sustainability team in the factory. Act as management advisor for all EHS&S topics and work to engage all the manufacturing functions to develop and sustain together a strong EHS&S culture. Drive the company to achieve EHS&S' commitments and to ensure that sustainability systems and programs are implemented and continuously improved.
Leadership: Manage the EHS&S organization and core activities to continuously improve sustainability performance. Set objectives, implement the Global strategy as per OGSM, define plans, create initiatives, prepare communications and trainings, to ensure compliance/consistency with global and local sustainability policy, standards, systems and core values Improve sustainability management and provide oversight with incident and emergency management. Ensure timely and accurate reporting to achieve Company Sustainability goals and targets. Develop existing and attract new talents to ensure professional competence and leadership capabilities required within sustainability department.
Management Arrangements: Ensure the implementation of the sustainability management systems (e.g. ISO, OHSAS), in line with the company Sustainability Principles and Practices and applicable regulatory requirements, by engaging the management and employees and facilitate continuous improvement. Ensure that procedures and programs are understood, respected and integrated in day to day processes and activities, and compliance to legal requirements is maintained. Define the plan and budget cycle for the affiliate providing input to ensure optimal allocation of resources.
Assurance: Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental related laws and legislation and keep up-to-date with any changes. Inform management on the impact of these changes to their roles and responsibilities and/or to the company. Advise and represent site management in all matters concerning compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations and maintain professional relationships with permitting authorities, in order to ensure that all regulatory reporting requirements are adhered to and appropriate actions to correct deficiencies are implemented.
Incident Management: Ensure timely incident reporting, investigation, analysis, and corrective actions. Inform managers and employees of the root causes of incidents within the operation and Triaga Inc. organization, in order to create awareness and prevent re-occurrence of injury to people and losses to the company.
Reporting & Communication: Ensure timely reporting of sustainability performance indicators to affiliate management, region and OC. Ensure that the data is accurate and validated to provide highlight achievements, areas of concern, opportunities for improvement, to correct possible deviations and to enable senior management to support improvement actions and prioritization. Data accuracy must be maintained to provide our Sustainability Report and other voluntary reporting schemes (e.g. CDP, DJSI).
Emergency preparedness: Contribute in the development of emergency preparedness in order to eliminate or minimize losses due to emergency incident (as per Triaga Inc. definition), Business Continuity Plan and its maintenance. Provide support to business in the post-incident investigation and root cause analysis.
Best Practices Sharing: Ensure accurate communication and sharing of best practices between OC, manufacturing and market Sustainability, in order to initiate and accelerate the cooperation between internal and external stakeholders.
Who we’re looking for:
A Manager EHS&S, willing to experiment and innovate, who would be able to deal with ambiguity and would feel comfortable work Assurance ing in fast changing environment. A person who has also:
Master or University degree in Engineering/Chemical/technical areas. Specific University course in Environmental, Health & Safety disciplines.
Proper qualification as per local legal requirements.
International certifications (e.g. NEBOSH) are a plus.
Minimum of 5 years experience in related area and management experience.
PC literate (Word, Excel, Ppt). OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 knowledge.
